soll Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Go get yourself a 2.8 Capri is that with the obligatory kerb stone bolted to the boot floor?back in the day I had a 1.6 laser, 2.0 gear, mk2 3.0S and then a 2.8i.the MK2 3.0S was my favorite for flooring around roundabouts to get the rear end out, until one day i did it in the wet (on purpose), over did it a little and ended up facing the wrong way with a pissed of lorry driver giving me the "w**ker" sign of appreciation Quote
Guest Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Funny as I'm also on the lookout for a nice Rx8, Don't care about running costs as I don't drive many miles so more for fun really.I looked last year but in the end gave up as I couldn't find one I liked so bought a bloody Yaris 1.0... Go me Looking for a PZ with the intention of taking it to the "ring".I've done my homework now just need the right car to appear.Or a BMW 330ci hmm. LOL, im going the other way, trading my 330cd M-sport for a new Aygo to keep the mrs happy!Swapping this:for thisi feel like my manhood is being chopped off What's it like moving from a Bmw to a car fitted with indicators. I did hear indicators are an expensive option on bmw's. That's why they never seem to be fitted to any I encounter Quote

Fozzie Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I saw one with a custom engine, it was rocking a quad rotor, twin turbo charged engine with NOS. 750BHP without the NOS boosting. One of the most amazing sounds I've heard from an engine. There's a youtuber called Rob Dahm who's building a custom quad rotor, turbo rx7. He thinks it'll be good for 1200whp. I call bullshit on that until he proves otherwise.A lot of good builders, but most greatly exaggerate what the motor can handle! You're going to melt something at that BHP with that size of engine I think Quote

The GOAT Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Well.....Took the plunge and bought me a nice 40th Anniversary Rx8!Pick up at weekend, look really nice, no rust/scuffs etc..Refurbished wheels.Compared to a fiesta....God it's low slung Paid a premium for this on but does come with a freshly built engine by (Rotary Revs) and also them expensive coils packs are fitted.5 year warranty, so no worries with the engine more. Will post me experiences when I get it.http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm38/skynet2029/12552788_946521272102688_7650769918458868659_n.jpg Quote
Fozzie Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Nice! And just re-built? You’ll have a lot of happy miles in that little beastie.Shame the rotary engine could never have its bugs worked out. The future of them would have been good if they weren’t environmental distasters Quote
KTM21 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Looks well nice mate, enjoy it Shame the rotary engine could never have its bugs worked out. The future of them would have been good if they weren’t environmental distasters The rotary engine could still have a good future seen as Mazda's new sport's car is gonna be rotary powered. Quote
