Today I broke out my Crivit (aldi/lidl) base layers for my little run across the water.

When I first squeezed into them I thought that they wouldn't be of any use but I was so wrong.

I was toasty warm apart from my feet and hands so I'll need to get some new gloves and better socks but the top and leggings were fantastic [emoji41]

Used mine under a wetsuit when Canyoning in Wales back in October. Even when soaked they kept me toasty warm for the day and when we stopped I unzipped the top of the wetsuit and they dried pretty quickly too.

(Canyoning - throwing yourself down a cold river with no boat)

For the base layers you can't best them.

Have never tried any of their jackets etc and to be honest their boots do look a bit dodgy :-D

I confess to buying some boots from there, wore them twice then disposed of them. Not my cuppa tea. No ventilation and just not good all round

I use those base layers as well. They do just as well as my HH ones (that I got in the sale ;-) ). I tend to pick a set or two up during the summer when they are reduced and so are even cheaper! There "ergonomic" socks (they go by many names...) are also very good.
