Paul-Kent Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Today I broke out my Crivit (aldi/lidl) base layers for my little run across the water. When I first squeezed into them I thought that they wouldn't be of any use but I was so wrong.I was toasty warm apart from my feet and hands so I'll need to get some new gloves and better socks but the top and leggings were fantastic [emoji41] Quote
NeilM Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Use the same mate. Can't fault them for the price. Quote
Hoggs Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I have an aldi next to work keep meaning to pop in see what they have Quote
Joeman Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Used mine under a wetsuit when Canyoning in Wales back in October. Even when soaked they kept me toasty warm for the day and when we stopped I unzipped the top of the wetsuit and they dried pretty quickly too.(Canyoning - throwing yourself down a cold river with no boat) Quote
NeilM Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 For the base layers you can't best them.Have never tried any of their jackets etc and to be honest their boots do look a bit dodgy Quote
Paul-Kent Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 I confess to buying some boots from there, wore them twice then disposed of them. Not my cuppa tea. No ventilation and just not good all round Quote
Chrissb6 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Can't fault them got a set for work and play, off to Norway in a couple of weeks time you can bet there'll be packed to go Quote
tuktuk Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Infinity motorcycles have the proskins gilet at £20 atm. Quote
Arwen Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I use those base layers as well. They do just as well as my HH ones (that I got in the sale ). I tend to pick a set or two up during the summer when they are reduced and so are even cheaper! There "ergonomic" socks (they go by many names...) are also very good. Quote
