eastanglianbiker Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 does anyone use a solar battery charger/maintainer and if so what one and is it any good?. as i have no power out to my shed and am not allowed to put power out there by the landlords otherwise i would get a normal mains powered one Quote
Joeman Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Optimate do one. It's supposed to be good but not tried myself. Quote
Mr Fro Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I use a few smallish panels wired together to keep my garage lighting battery topped up as well as charge the bike batteries now and again.Been going for a few years now without using a mains charger. It's unregulated and can reach 19V on a sunny day but nothing has gone bandy yet. Quote
Guest Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Can't you not bury a cable to the shed and hide it . I would be tempted to do this and not bother telling him Quote
Valko Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I have not used it, but this looks fine:http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/206242 Quote
Joeman Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 The optimate one looks to have a little box of tricks attached rather than just a solar panel with croc clips:http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/produc ... oupID=9256 Quote
Tango Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 A long extention lead?.....One that'll reach from the house to the shed...... Quote
