waterproof gear??

so I'm getting a bit p*ssed off with these dealers selling so called waterproof jackets/pants when clearly they are not.

I've had 2 jackets and wife has one both suppose to be waterproof but got caught twice in heavy down pours and we were both soaked.

what gear do you guys have that are waterproof under £130?

I bought a secondhand Rukka Goretex jacket for £100 and a pair of Dainese Goretex trousers for £50.......Both in good condition.......and both waterproof......so, don't rule out secondhand gear if you're on a budget......

Spada does completely waterproof over jackets and trousers for £60. You could go down that route and keep the armoured stuff you already have.

They are also.. still under guarantee. doesnt matter if they are 2nd. 3rd or more 'hand' goretex gear is guaranteed not to leak - for life. which effectively means until the garment begins to fall apart.This guarantee is only made void if the garment is physically damaged... like in a crash or an over enthusiastic washing machine. as a for instance.

+1 for 2ndhand Goretex. I bought some secondhand Hein Geirike goretex trousers a couple of years ago. When they leaked, Goretex were top notch and refunded me the new price.
