Cougar dave Posted January 24, 2017 Share Posted January 24, 2017 Hi everyone, I'm adding some spot lights and USB charger to my Son's bike (varadero) and I want them to have power only with ignition on , so lights will be going through a relay ,can anyone tell me if USB charger can go through the same relay. Tango Posted January 24, 2017 Share Posted January 24, 2017 You should be able to run the USB charger socket through the same relay, assuming the total current doesn't exceed the relays rating..... USB sockets can draw a small amount of current even with nothing plugged into them, so running it through a relay is generally a good idea.....
