Foxy Stoat seeks Pig Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Any ideas?I have noticed some light scratching has appeared on 'back bit behind the seat' (very technical I know Anyway picture below of scratches and part of bike I mean.http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy283/martash2009/Scratch.jpgWould something as simple as T-Cut be effective? No big drama, not sure how long they have been there but really annoying me now every time I get on the bike Thanks all. Joeman Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Buy some stickers to cover them up. They look like they aren't going to go away without paint. Quote
Stu Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 It would depend how deep they are! But by the looks of it you may fade them a bit but not get rid of them! they look a bit deep Give T cut a try and see how they turn out Quote
Foxy Stoat seeks Pig Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Ok, thanks both, t-cut first then some kind of sticker arrangement methinks. Quote
JRH Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Have a look in Halfords. Think T cut (or someone similar) did a coloured version which was to help blend in the deeper scratchesEditFound ithttp://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/scratch-repair-paint-restorers/t-cut-colour-fast-scratch-remover-silver Quote
Foxy Stoat seeks Pig Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Excellent, will give it a try. Quote
tigger004 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Instead of a sticker you could get a piece of wrapping vinyl in what ever colour you wish, even carbon effect if that's your thing, good luck which ever way you go, jeffSent by Tigger from my Tablet Quote
Foxy Stoat seeks Pig Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 i have some silver t-cut on order, worth a try for a fiver. Maybe try vinyl after that, i'm not that keen on stickers on my bike. Quote
