Hi everyone, I was planning to take off carbs to give them a good clean today but when I took tank and air box off I just could not see how it was possible to even see the clips that hold the carbs on never mind loosening them so I put it all back together and was thinking maybe put some kind of additive in fuel to clean them , is red x any good for bikes?

I adore redex it's probably not a proper fix but it seems to help  Just make sure you buy the stuff suitable for carbs :thumb:

Redex is OK for getting a bit of gumming out the carbs but if you feel they need a clean then nothing is better than a strip :)

Redex is worth a try. It does help remove some dirt etc.

It can also help remove water which is another sourceof trouble in carbs.

One of the car programmes did a test on it (actually a fue injection engine).

It actually turned out to be the most cost effective way to increase power.
