Clutch cable has started fraying

Recommended Posts

Noticed today that my clutch cable on my bike has strayed to fray slightly...it's only a couple of the strands that have gone and the bulk of it is still tight and intact so I don't know what to do...wether it will hold out or not or does it need replacing

As above get a new one ASAP.

With some strands broken the remaining strands will be under more stress and will soon fail.

As someone who has had the cable snap on them whilst riding - get it changed now! It's not fun
