Guest Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Hi allI have a 2001 CG125 that I'm doing up, I had to remove the clocks the other day and to do so I had to disconnect the ignition I took a picture to remember where it all went and my phone has since broken and I've lost those photosIs there anyone who could tell me which colour wire plugs in where as I'm a bit unsure I've looked in the internet for hours and I can't make sense of any of itThanks Quote
TimR Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 The wires go to their corresponding colours ie green goes green If you have the small owners manual they used to have the wiring diagram in there Quote
Guest Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Thanks-Yeah I found that diagram and it just looks a mess to me. I'm good with mechanical things like taking a clutch apart and all that stuff but wiring I'm shocking. I know it needs to go colour to colour but I have one double connector that has a black wire with a double connection but I only have 1 cable so I'm a bit confused Quote
Joeman Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I took a picture to remember where it all went and my phone has since broken and I've lost those photos Why does this still happen? We are not in the 90's anymore! All phones are connected to the internet and have the ability to backup photos as they are taken.Phones should be disposable, break a phone, get a new one, log in, and all your stuff including photos comes back! fastbob Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Surely you can't get it wrong because the various multi pin connectors are not interchangeable. It's designed that way so it can be assembled by semi skilled labour. You can't get a connector the wrong way round either because they are shaped to prevent this happening. It's not unusual for a double connector to go to a single wire , its just cheaper to produce. On the diagram I notice a triple black wire going to a double black wire so I guess all black wire go together then.like this...http://i.imgur.com/hrCY0cm.png Quote
Guest Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I've sorted it now and it's working but my battery is dead so need a new oneAll I need to do is connect up my headlight now but my new light has different coloured wires so I'm puzzled again but will give it a bash later Quote
fastbob Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Thanks-Yeah I found that diagram and it just looks a mess to me. I know it needs to go colour to colour but I have one double connector that has a black wire with a double connection but I only have 1 cable so I'm a bit confused It's not a mess at all,it's a lovely wiring diagram. It's incredibly clear and simple AND it's in colour. Luxury! Quote
Keith Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 New to all this but I'm totally stumped and all my searches have come up with nothing so I'm throwing it out there and hoping someone more knowledgeable can help me out. Fairly simple, can someone tell me what this connector is? Seems to have a brown wire with blue stripe but when I search for that and look at wiring diagrams no such wire colour combination seems to exist. I'm working on my 2005 cg125. Done a full strip down to customise it and my label has come off this one wire and I've no idea where it goes http://i65.tinypic.com/219o487.jpg Quote
fastbob Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Why not just assemble the bike , fire it up and go for a ride , if something electrical doesn't work then you'll know where these wires go . If everything works chop them off and forget about it . There's a a good chance they were never connected to anything on this particular model but it was cheaper to use the same wiring loom as models with extra equipment. Can we have a picture of the assembled bike so we can see where these connections are situated ? Quote
