Westbeef Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Bikes with any power dont use chain links anymoreA 125 might? But I would be surprised if a 600 doesThey need to be ground off and riveted with a special tool Nah, you can get the split links still for bigger bikes and they can be used. They're obviously not as good as a correctly riveted link, but they aren't just going to come off and they are safe for use. Quote
SlowBusa Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I know they exist but Would You trust one on a 600? Quote
Westbeef Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Yeah I wouldn't be too worried, I've seen them tested in R&D labs Quote
megawatt Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I trust split links on 350bhp drag bike. They just need fitting properly. Quote

megawatt Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 True. If I wasn't going to keep changing sprockets and sometimes swingarms, I'd probably fit a rivet link, as I have on my roadbike, but no reason not to fit a split link. Quote
Mr Fro Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 It wasn't his video it was one he found on Youtube with similar problems. Keep up lads Oh yeah... Oops. Quote
