mikestrivens Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Sounds like it needs an italian tuneup Quote
Stu Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 check for fuel in the oil or rising oil levels could be a sticking injector The TL s&r suffered with this and could possibly be the same injectors Quote
Stu Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Also check to make sure coolant temp sensor is working correctly and the bike is getting to operating temp as these systems have a cold running map that uses more fuel Quote
Bender Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 I would be looking at injectors too, it's running rich it's either thinking it's got more air than it needs or it's putting too much fuel in for the air that it's got, make sure any thing else sensor wise is reading what it's supposed to be. Bianco2564 Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Is it flooding all the cylinders or just one? Quick plug check would tell.Throttle bodies balanced and set correctly relative to tps?Electrical system ok,not over or under charging?ECU? Bad earths?Valve clearances?Bit of a long shot; cam timing ok,not got a worn chain or anything?Did it start running rough just one day out the blue or was it a gradual event? Quote
