Ross Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 Quite like the idea of these as any extra light on the front of your bike is a bounus! What are the chances of them killing my battery? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Handguards-Hand-Guards-Protector-For-Yamaha-TDM-850-900-A-Blue-/122283163867 Quote
raesewell Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 They shouldn't affect the battery if you use a switched live. Quote
Tango Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 As they're LED the current draw shouldn't be too high...... Quote
Mickly Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 I’ve got hand protectors on the Speedtriple but without the lights.Protects my hands from wind chill and worst of the rain. This allows the use of summer gloves for a longer time. And helps with the poor circulation I’ve got in my fingers. Gerontious Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 They're also being sold as indicators.. So the wiring will need a little modification to turn them into "running lights". As sold... I imagine they would be spliced left and right into the indicator feed. Because of this I would be just a smidge dubious. It could be that the LEDs are over specified.... Designed to be powered for just short periods. Not "on" for hours on end. But.. For the price, that's probably not an issue. Quote
Ross Posted September 24, 2018 Author Posted September 24, 2018 Yeah for the price it doesnt matter if there crap. I would have to have to wite it through a switch so i can turn them off if needs be. Ill have a look around i may just gor for standard non light ones Quote
