xMachina Posted December 26, 2018 Author Posted December 26, 2018 My dad had thyroid cancer and my brother had lymphoma, I’m probably screwed anyway so I’m gonna crack out the bacon, cheese, and mince and smoke a fatty. Pic is the last one I made. If I’m gonna die I’m gonna die happy! Quote
Martyn850 Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 Love a fatty! Got the DJ BBQ book for Christmas so looking forward to doing a few things from that. The lamb wrap especially! Quote
S-Westerly Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 You do know that eating smoked food increases the risk of cancer don’t you. According to the nanny state just about everything that is nice to eat or drink is a cause of increased risk of some dreadful disease. So as we all have to die of something we may as well crack on and enjoy ourselves. I'm surely not giving up smoked ham or bacon. Quote
Fleck Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 For now we are free to increase our risk of getting cancer, but it won't always be so. The rot has started with the sugar tax, this desire to control what we eat will spread to all foods eventually, and it's all under the pretence that we're overloading the NHS.I started a thread on another forum disagreeing with the sugar tax... I seemed to be in a minority.. God help us Quote
Joeman Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Dying is cheaper than saving for a pension or paying off your house. Eat what you like and just have fun! Quote

Fixed it The trouble with science is that for every theory there is a counter theory. Remember butter was supposed to be bad for you but now it's supposed to be good? So like many people I just ignore it. I've made it to past 60 so something will get me sooner rather than later. Hey ho. Quote
xMachina Posted December 27, 2018 Author Posted December 27, 2018 I’m guessing you don’t want to hear about how much sugar and salt is in my BBQ stuff then. Quote
