I agree that the joke is one of the worst ever. Considering the impact of male on female violence around the world casual reference to it is as far from funny as you can get. Yet I enjoy very dark jokes. I suppose because at least with jokes about dark subjects like child abuse etc at least there is a societal agreement that it is wrong rather than quiet acceptance of a dangerous norm

Hello groovy gang. Would you mind talking me through the different styles of bikes. By that I mean what are the pro’s and cons of the different styles of bike. Also what is the difference? For example between a sports and a sports tourer? I’m not sure when I will be able to afford my DAS but I spend a lot of time on EBay fantasising. I am aware it is personal preference that makes the biggest difference. I loved the look of a cruiser when I passed by CBT but sat on it and instantly knew it was not for me and got the mostly faired thing I have now. Thanks

That might well be true and I have the mechanical skills of a sea anemone as I have said before. It did seem to make a difference to me though when I my gear lever was not returning to it's neutral position (for the lever not neutral in the gear box).

I had that on my 125 bike. WD40 on the lever where the lever connects/pivots. That helped I plan to stick some gt85 on after asking some advice about what is lubricant as opposed to a water dispersant.

Hello and welcome Chinese = Chinese It's colloquial English. ...just because it's colloquial English doesn't mean its not racist. Any form of slang used to describe a minority grouping can be construed as offensive, simply because it is usually used in a way that denigrates and diminishes the target group. This leads to a mindset whereby members of that group are always considered in a diminutive way that somehow justifies treating them as "not quite equals". And when people are "not quite equal", it is easy to justify treating them in a less-favourable fashion. And when we have established that is it OK to discriminate.........well we all know where that one ends up, don't we? That is what I would have liked to have typed

Most f my experience of animals recently had been people who’s dogs are not under control at the park. And I mean almost all of the dogs at the park are not under control. My son has been knocked down by a friendly dog and I am terrified of some random mutt hurt my kids. It may be the minority but it does not seem like it. And even if it was the minority that is no comfort to me when my child is terrified. Then there is the dog mess everywhere, again an minority but a sufficient one that it is everywhere! At least with dogs most owners clean up their mess. People own cats knowing that their animal is going to crap wherever it likes in other people’s gardens.
