Guest Richzx6r Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 So I got my rear tyre done and I refitted the wheel in the swing arm but there is a small spacer that fits inside the main spacer on the left side of the rear wheel but I couldn't get that in so I left it out and did the nut up on the spindle but I can't stop thinking maybe that has put the alignment out, how do you check the alignment Quote
Guest Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 FFS if there is a spacer that has not gone back in DO NOT RUN THE BIKE YOU WILL FECK THE WHEEL BEARING. There, did I say that loud enough? Wheel spacers are there for a reason - to hold the wheel in the correct position on the axle. Get a manual or a parts diagram and work out what you have got wrong. 'Cos you will have. Quote
Guest Richzx6r Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 I dont get it iv had the wheel out loads and it's always gone back in no problems but this time it hasn't, I'll be taking it to the local garage 1st thing tomorrow morning so they can put it in and get it sorted Quote

The main spacer is in just a little insert which adds another 1/8th of an inch or so and when I did the nut up the nut pulled the gap up so the wheel hasn't shifted Quote

TimR Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 check you have fitted parts in correct area from left hand side(chain side ) you should have split pinnut washerswing armSpacerthen the sprocket carrier WHICH IF YOU HAVE REMOVED MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLACED THE CORRECT SPACER INBETWEEN THAT AND THE WHEEL.IT IS THE ONE WITH TWO DIFFERENT SIZED ENDS (42036)but doesn't look like a top hat .(one end sits inside the sprocket carrier bearing)WheelTop hat washer with smaller end into the wheelBrake caliper mounting swingarm axle bolt head Quote

fastbob Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 What Tim said , it's a washer that goes on the outside not a mini spacer that goes on the inside . Quote
