BIKERDAD Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I just bought my 16old son a Peugeot speed fight 2 50cc . Now the seller said the bike had age wear and tear so I expected some small damage but not worried about it as I want him to do some work on the bike it up . So i gets it home puts itnin the garage and on Sunday had a mess about with it only to find that there is a few panels faring what ever there called some the clips an bolts have been snapped off soni managed to strip all the plastics off the scooter looking at the bits some are damaged how do I repair these . As I dont want to spend loads of money buying new plastics when it's just the fixing bits that are snapped. There are some that the last owner just drilled two small holes and clipped them together using cable ties . Will it pass an MOT if say the side panels was cabled tied on not screws or bolts .. thanks Quote
Snod Blatter Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Do you still have the bits that have broken off or are they lost forever? Quote

I'll have a go Some of the bits are lost some are still fixed to the bone.broken side . So it be a try and fix back together again repair .. Well we had a go at starting the bike and no luck .I need to buy a new kick start pinion thing . fastbob Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Honestly ?get some ally plate and a pop rivetter and go for the distressed look . These potions rarely work for long . Alternatively see what's in eBay . You might even find some Chinese knock off . Quote
BIKERDAD Posted July 8, 2019 Author Posted July 8, 2019 Iv seen that p40 stuff I might go for that. Also the parts that the boys and screws go thro that are broke I'll be doing the alloy and rivet method. Cheers Quote
