manxie49 Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 OK weather here today was crap, riding over the mountain road to Douglas, fog, wind and rain, felt the back end getting out of sorts so pulled over, F------ nail in my tyre! Couldn't have picked a worst time. My thanks goes out to a good Samaritan, Audi driver who stopped and gave me a lift into Douglas. I know some people on this forum put them down and give them a bad rep, but credit where credits due, he got me out of a real fix! Just goes to show, doesn't matter what you ride or what you drive, there's good and bad in everyone. Quote
Tankbag Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 We started to pull over for the HOG rider on the A158 on the way to Mablethorpe yesterday then he enthusiastically waved us on, bumped into to us later at the bike night & said thanks but he was having a smoke manxie49 spot on How much was you're new tyre ? Cost me £120 for a Battlax, I quite like the tyres, seem good in all weathers. Really good of him to let me in his nice car I was piss wet through! Well impressed, good people do still exist Quote
geofferz Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Most people are cool when it comes to it. A biker offered to plug my tyre whe I had a blowout. I helped a guy when he ran out of gas. Share the love. Quote
