Munchkin_3
Hi, considering buying a Zhongyu ZY250, but it looks to need a new Chain (and so probably a new sprocket) I can't find one specifically made for this model bit is there one that would work?Perhaps the Yamaha 250 as this is what it it a replica of?Any information on this bike would be appreciated. I am aware that parts are hard to come by for these imported models, the impression I got was that when it breaks it's gone, not designed to be repaired, but cheap and not a lot of work to be done before then, but would this extend to the chain and sprocket? That seems extreme
fastbob
You can work it out if you have access to a JT Sprocket Book . You could do it online but it might take longer . Ask a proper motorcycle shop to help out . You will need to remove the sprockets and get hold of a steel rule . You will also need to know what pitch the chain is . Hopefully it's stamped on the links . I've spent many a happy afternoon doing this back when I worked in a bike shop and I was usually successful.
