Motorcycle Clubs/Groups

I have been toying with the idea of joining a local motorcycle group, they meet up a couple of times a month at a local pub, but not very practical in my current situation, but they do have regular ride outs and hold a whole load of events throughout the year, has anyone been a member or still are of any groups that could share their experience with them, it may also be useful for new riders to join a group and gain some knowledge and build up a network of friends to ride with

There's a massive club list in The Old Bike Mart ( usually included with Motorcycle Sport & Leisure) but it's a free paper anyway

I’m in a Facebook bike ‘group’. Not a proper bike club or anything just a kind of social group, but have been on plenty of rideouts. About 15 of us did 450 miles to and around Wales on Monday. It is a good laugh and I do enjoy the group rides. We do have a club here in Leicester as well who have their own clubhouse and stuff, they’re not an MC or anything, but haven’t joined up to them. Think it’s like £12 a year or something.

If you’re happy to ride with others then go for it!

It is a good laugh and I do enjoy the group rides. We do have a club here in Leicester as well who have their own clubhouse and stuff, they’re not an MC or anything, but haven’t joined up to them. Think it’s like £12 a year or something.

I sent them an email last night, got a reply this morning saying to go down and meet them, only a small group 35 members, this one is also £12 to join, but you do get affiliated with BMF and MAG which could be a bonus as some insurance companies offer extra discount for being a club member
