xrol3x Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Hello, I have a question. I have a 50cc unrestricted moped, CBT, I'm 27 years old. Can I ride it on the A13 road? Quote
dynax Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 A few things to consider, are you riding with L plates and not just on a driving licence entitlement if you have one, as a learner you can ride on any road except for Motorways and 50cc are not permitted on the motorways at all irrespective of licence type Quote
bonio Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) Yes mate. You're allowed to do this. But you might consider how safe it is. I personally wouldn't ride a 50cc on busy dual carriageway*. This is the very reason I ditched my scoot, got a full licence and a 500cc (I had changed jobs, and my commute changed with it).* I don't know what part of the A13 you want to use, so this might not apply Edited October 31, 2019 by bonio Quote
TimR Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Not all dual carriageways allow learners/50cc so look for signs. If i remember correctly a few of the overpasseson a13 near Purley don't allow Quote

winston smith Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 As far as I can remember there aren't any 50cc restrictions in the A13.However, as has been posted above, riding a 50 along there isn't necessarily a good idea - most of the road is fast and busy, and Essex drivers take no prisoners!
