Dingus Magee Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Probably been asked before but searching there’s too much to go through so.What if anything does everyone use on their leather gloves to keep them supple? For leathers, gloves and boots...same as saddles and bridles; clean with saddle soap (don't soak the leather), wipe excess off with clean water and a towel, then apply Neatsfoot oil, or some other proprietary leather dressing. Equestrian shops generally have a selection. To proof the leather, I've also used Nikwax wax dressing, again sparingly, and rub in with my hands; it seems to penetrate the leather better that way Quote
TimR Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 The corpses and entrails of all the insects i encounter on a ride. Sometimes nikwax glove proof Quote
fastbob Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Never dry them on a radiator if they get wet , you won't get them on again . Quote

No mine inadvertently got left on the bonnet of my wife’s car And got absolutely soaked.Dried them naturally but I reckon it’s left them ever so slightly Stiff hence why I’m asking what people use to supple them up again.I’ve got some Nik wax so probably give that a try. Thanks for the replies. Cpt_Tact Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Renapur on my jackets and boots so I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work for leather gloves as well. Quote
