Tankbag Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Team Fortress 2 YEEEEEESI don't even want to know how many hours I've sunk into TF2. Enough that I've reset my stats a few times so my loading screen doesn't make me feel bad about how I've spent my life I've got a video somewhere of a game where I was a spy pretending to be an enemy engineer in my teams base & an enemy spy pretending to be one of our snipers appeared, after both of sneaking around together for a bit I stabbed him. Suppose you had to be there now I re read that Quote

Suppose you had to be there now I re read that I appreciated the humor of it I used to love using the Cloak and Dagger in combination with a custom spray that says "Hey enemy engineer, I'm right by you", spray it while invisible then run off and leave the engineer alive but wildly ineffective while he runs around flailing at the air with his wrench while you find a medic to stab Quote

Tankbag Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Textbook Team Fortress right there. I do miss TFC & TF2, can you still play these on modern laptops ? I've lost track as I use linux but I'd be tempted to reformat the windoze partition to a newer version if I could play these games. On a rainy day I'd stick on Badlands Quote

Tiggie Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 First time I saw it being played was my brother on his pc and I was in awe at seeing the slide come back and ejecting the empty rounds!! Quote

Bender Posted June 19, 2020 Author Posted June 19, 2020 As kids we didn't get much, we were a pretty poor family only dad worked, was the norm for victorian times, we did however always get 1 good present each at crimbo on release as I was mad about computers I was given a vic20 it was probably the best present I ever got.Back then with a few extras it was well over £300 they had to take finance out to get it.I used to have to wait for TV time as we only had 1, they eventually got sick of that and got me a little bw tv, ironic considering it was being used with cutting edge colour cunsumer electronics, I didn't care I had endless programming time. I made a joystick out of a box a stick elastic bands and foil for contacts and it worked The following xmas I got a mag that had an article that expanded on some hidden features, one of them was a switched live you could draw from the joystick port, hmmmm, out with the old electronics box a resistor a diode and an led and a bit peek and poke and voila a flashing led, then three leds then relay and I had flashing xmas tree lights controlled by a computer then sizzling it wasn't very dramatic and the screen froze, ohh its crashed, no it was dead I blew the board, I was gutted on so many levels, I used to pretend it was still working Quote
