My wife is trying to book a theory test in Hertfordshire. However none of the local theory test centres are running motorcycle tests.

A mate of mine has his booked in but had to go through a training school to get it booked

As above, training schools usuyhave pre booked slots if any are available, if you don't want to go through one they may be able to tell you when dates are available.

I'm not saying you chaps are wrong, but I've never heard of the bike school booking the theory - mod 1 and 2 yes.

Everyone I know was expected to do the theory themselves.

My school was able to book theory but said to do it myself. they were reserving for essential workers but I think that is relaxing now.
