Not really, as it stands you have 2 options, A1 or DAS ( A/A2 depending on age), it's one test, allowing a progression on L's is 3 test's but done over a longer period of time, but also allowing a rider to gain gradual experience on larger machines if they want to. With the current system you have riders with some experience or no experience at all, doing a few days training to pass a test that will allow them on the road with any size machine, this is the system that makes no sense. 1 Quote

We know it won't happen anytime soon as the country is being run by morons, but never say never, it will only take someone with a spark of common sense in the department to utter these famous words " What if we did this ". Mind you now that MAG have got their so called foot in the door, it may be a prudent time to put forward some more items for them to chew the fat over Quote
salsa Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 (edited) I thought I'd highlight a petition I found: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/568948/. Given that most A2 test bikes are 50 something HP slightly limited down, it seems crazy to have to redo both tests after 2 years - every signature helps. I still have hope that things can change! onesea Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 Some sort of automatic progression would seem sensible. Even adding in a delays to progression or additional test if you get points or have an fault accident. Quote
