Guest Nickki
Ta muchly Bob.

Am told the A6 from Buxton is a good ride (but then some-one said that about my ex, so dont believe all you hear).

My suggestion from this side to get the ball rolling would be;

Halifax to Homfirth, (via a scenic route)

A6024 over the moor (very scenic and watch out for cyclists)

B6105 to Glossop (ok now I'm in new territory)

A624 to Chapel -en-le-Firth

A6 to Matlock Bath.

i will go this way has i liv in todmorden what time we all meeting and where lol... :P

Bob and I will be leavin Elland at approx 8am, and riding this route - anyone else is welcome to join us and we'll see the rest of you in Matlock

So it looks like;

BOB

NICKKI

MAYO007

Lil Ol' Me

and possibly my mate if his missus will let him out to play

takin the scenic camel trail.

Two choices I think. We either all meet up to start with somewhere around Elland/Holywell Green (thinking maybe carpark at the Rock Inn Hotel?)

Or we meet MAYO007 in Holmfirth about 8:45 - 9am

If you are going through Buxton into Bakewell on the A6 watch very carefully for speed traps!!

Bakewell police are red hot and super keen.

Be WARNED!!

Just want to clarify something...............

I assume the day is to meet at the congregation of bikes near Matlock.

I say Near because the actual place is called Matlock Bath.

You will probably find the best place to meet and park up is the Fishpond Hotel car park which is opposite the pub but on the left.

If you need any help or advise just ask this is my stomping ground and happy to assist in any way I can.

The plan so far was to meet at the carpark for the Lead Museum in Matlock Bath?

Then for a 50/75 mile ride, ending at Bakewell to say farewell.

Just tryna pull everything together, so speaking from memory.

All local knowledge greatfully accepted
