Rear brake ? If you're using the rear brake it's time to sort your front ones out . I haven't used a rear brake for decades and yes , that does include the Harley . Think about it , on my GSXR there were two six pot calipers on the front and a silly little two pot caliper on the back for decoration .

Actually if you're using brakes you're doing it wrong

I have to be honest I never understand why some riders don't use the rear brake and make it sound like its a bad thing to use it or its not adequate enough to stop or slow a bike down

There is plenty of situations where the rear brake is more than enough

Not to mention when on an incline I find it so much easier to hold a bike from rolling using the rear brake than the front will its even easier now with hill hold  quick squeeze of the front brake and it holds the rear brake on :D

I only seem to use my rear brake when slowly and I mean slowly approaching a stop at traffic lights etc and while I'm sat there.

For hill starts and very slow manoeuvring only. Part of that is the brakes are linked at speed but mainly because the rear brake arrangement on the mutley is famous for being awkward to use.

I use the  back brake a lot on my Harley mainly because it doesnt really handle well

and the brakes are  bloody useless ,

so i use both brakes before going into a corner ,it does have great engine braking .thol
