Troy Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) I’m in the market for a new lid. My local (and trusted) dealer recommended I try a Kabuto Helmet. Until today, I never heard of the brand before. In brief, I believe they are made and sold by Honda (open to confirmation). Has anyone had any experience with the brand name before? Or would you recommend something entirely different? Edited February 25, 2022 by Troy Quote
Yorky Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Does you local (and trusted) dealer happen to sell Kabuto by any chance?? Quote
MikeHorton Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Looking on the sharp testing website the RT33 is the only tested lid and comes in at 4 out of 5 stars. Need to try one one I find they are like shoes need a good fit. Quote
MikeHorton Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 This site does good reviews and seems to be decent enough and quiet too. https://billyscrashhelmets.co.uk/kabuto-rt-33-full-face-crash-helmet-review/ 1 Quote

S-Westerly Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) According to t'internet Kabuto helmets are a Japanese company and used to make all their helmets in Japan. However they've recently opened a factory in Qingdao which last time I looked was not in Japan. Now whether the ones made in China are for the Chinese market only or are sold globally I cannot find out. Personally I'd not consider one made in China. They seem to have some kind of link with Honda Edited February 25, 2022 by S-Westerly 1 Quote
