Troy Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 (edited) What options do I have to increase my low-down torque whilst still keeping the mid range and above ends punchy? I love my CBR but lately, I’ve been thinking of going bigger to get that acceleration on the lower end. But in all honesty, I don’t really want to do that. I’d rather stick to my current bike and try to work on that first. I don’t do track days, just street use only. I should also mention that my bike is 2017 CBR600rr, so in my eyes it’s too young to do make a hash of things. Whatever I do to it, has to be right and won’t have negative effects over time where possible. Edited September 18, 2022 by Troy Quote
Stu Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 changing the gearing will give it more acceleration and lose top end but who needs 150mph+ on the road? also remapping could give you some gains too Quote
Bender Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 As above, gearing is easily changed and easy put back and the little it takes off top end won't be noticed, much 1 Quote
