Pie man Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Has anyone camped in Switzerland. Looking to go for a few days, currently looking at Interlaken area, trying to keep cost down which will probably include taking a bottle of Vodka and a quick Aldi shop while there. Any recommendations. Quote
onesea Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 20 odd years ago, stayed just north on interlaken, Isntwald I think. Cute town at side of lake handy distance to interlaken. Pretty village, we enjoyed. If I remember the camping in interlaken was big sites this was smaller country site. Quote
rob m Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 I've stayed at Camping Alpenblick, lovely little site and great hosts. https://www.camping-alpenblick.ch/en If I ever return to Switzerland I would definitely stay there again. It was in 2017 and was about £15 for the night, not too bad for Switzerland. Like you, I got supplies from the local Aldi but I did splash out for a breakfast in the restaurant and it was worth the extra coin. If you're on a budget, trust me, don't eat out. The prices are eye watering! Interlaken is beautiful and the site is right next to Lake Thun which is gorgeous. Some pictures: 2 Quote
