Faulty oven and sneaky manufacturer

Following on from the tumble dryer the oven decided to pack in

 

Took it out to see why its tripping the rcd. 

Turns out the specialist tool required is a tea towel, couldn't get it to do anything meaningful with case off, no sign of a switch. 

 

Turns out the anti tamper/death from electrocution device is optical and built into the main pcb.

Turned out it was the lower element, this is why we have safety devices in the electric box  

 

It had welded itself to the bottom of the oven, had to strip whole thing to get to point I could get in to pry it off.

Wouldn't of happened if they had used a torque wrench

I'm not sure if there are any settings for the tea towel?
