best time to tour south of France by motorcycle, any tips please least rain times

Anyone recommend the best times to tour south of France by motorcycle, when is the best weather, not to hot, least chance of rain

I have been 1st week in June, weather is usually good, passes are usually open however, weather at the moment has been so incalculable, who knows when is the best time to go . I tend to miss the month of August, just to busy.

May, June and September.  Depends whether you are doing Provence or Languedoc.

many things  will be cheaper after the 5th september  .. days / nites still warm but the sun will be loosing its ferocity .. kids will mostly be back to school .. so less family cars to be seen..

Looking at September then, not to hot going to spend 10 days in the Gap area

Any time in the next 3 weeks “should” be ok - any latter and a lot of restaurants start to close for their annual holiday after the manic July & August and the weather can start to  get wet & windy on the coastal areas. The south can be a tad expensive but I am sure you will have a great time
