Lacey Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Hi All, New to the forum - grew up in the UK but did a long stint in Australia, now down in Devon near Exeter and thinking I need to buy some warmer gear so I can get out a bit more! Current bikes are a 2016 Triumph Sprint GT for going distance, a 1997 Suzuki Across (4 banger 250) that I brought back from Australia, and a 1992 CBR1000F that I found on marketplace for 500 quid. That's currently in pieces and I'm taking far too long to do anything with it, goal is to at least find out if it'll start sometime in the next couple of months. 3 Quote
bonio Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Welcome in. Which tiny bit of Devon are you in? I used to live in Ware, one of Devon's microhamlets, although our house was just in Dorset. Quote

I'm just outside exeter - have already discovered the road up to Minehead is pretty damned good (and then loop back to Barnstaple via the A39), though on the little bike just going Exeter to Moretonhampstead is a good blast too. 1 Quote

Nice. Enjoy the roads before us grockles come! Quote

I got some Zerofit thermals delivered today... if they're as good as they're supposed to be hopefully I can get out a bit more in the current weather without being frozen solid! 1 Quote
