Rieju mrt 50 no spark

Hi I've got a 2018 rieju mrt 50 it has no spark the bike is getting power to the cdi but no power is going to the coil I've replaced the cdi and it still has no spark. I've checked the cables to the coil the are not kinked or damaged and have continuity. I just need help if there is some type of sensor or something that is preventing the bike from getting spark

The clutch sensor/switch. Plenty of bikes won't start if they aren't in neutral or don't have the clutch lever pulled in.

 

And I am assuming you have tried a new spark plug?

Yes already put a new spark plug in there no voltage going to the coil and the bike kick over has good compression

How do you know there is no voltage going to the coil?

I used a multimeter

I'm not familiar with these bikes, but I know it's always good to start with the basics.

 

In general motorbikes may not spark if it's not in neutral when the kickstand is down. 

 

Expanding on what @Tiggie said, the clutch may also need pulling in. On the bike I have, the wires for the sensor are on the underside of the clutch and can be pulled out if knocked, which prevents the bike from starting.

 

The other thing I've seen people do way too many times (including myself) is not realising the kill switch has been hit. If you're good with a multimeter, it may be worth checking this switch isn't defective too. 

 

I know on some bikes, there is a tip over sensor, which stops the bike when it's been dropped. These have been known to stick and prevent the bike from starting. Again, I have no idea if your bike is equipped with one, but if the bike was dropped recently, it could be worth looking into it.

Hi mate the bike is built like a dirt bike it dose not have a kick stand switch and no clutch sensor ive order a new selonoid valve because online it say that is one of the most common problems for it

Along with the battery health and what the others said, The next thing to check is the CDI itself that could be goosed.

were there intermittent problems with the bike before? If so what?

The bike dose not have a battery it like a dirt bike I've replaced the cdi I bought the bike like this a month ago the previous owner said it was running before 2 month the bike got good compression I can't figure out why it not getting spark

@the fencer The original poster hasn't been on this forum since he asked his question back in January and I doubt he'll be returning unless he gets another issue he can't solve.

 

What have you tried so far with your own bike to get it working?

Checked all wires changed coil plugs ect

Have you checked all the connectors, and more importantly good clean earths throught out?

Yes I have. It's going into a workshop next week to get sorted hopefully, will post results. Cheers

Hello all,

any ideas if replacing the neutral switch sorted the problem out?

I have an MRT50 with no spark at the plug. We’ve replaced the spark plug,  ignition coil and cdi unit and still no luck so going to try the neutral switch next.
