Don D Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 Speed Senor Issue. I pulled my wheels off to have new tire installed. Completed the replacement of the wheels and the associated assembly. Now my ABS light is on and the bike rides likes plugs are fouled. I there a reset procedure for the sensors? Thanks for any help! Quote
Don D Posted April 8, 2024 Author Posted April 8, 2024 Sorry, the bike is a 2020 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT Quote

Mississippi Bullfrog Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Check also that the sensor is mounted correctly. On my Bobber there is a washer that you can't see when removing the sensor as it sits behind the sensor to give the correct gap to the ring. It fell out first time I removed the front wheel and it took me a whole to figure out where it came from. Check the ring is clean and sensor connections are secure. Quote

Not the other side The obvious is always something I check, and this was one I did. Thanks, and though I don't remember much from grade school, the "no questions is a bad question" is something I do remember and use often. Quote
Don D Posted April 9, 2024 Author Posted April 9, 2024 The guide plate was to be installed on the outside of the sensor. Once I put the plate in the proper position, all things are fine. Thanks To All! 1 Quote
Nick the wanderer Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Hi, you could try plugging it in and see if it throws up any fault codes. OBD2 diagnostic port under the seat, you will need the connecting adapter depending on which model you have. Cheap enough on the selling sites. Quote
