stevecase29465 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Thought this looked like a reasonable forum as its for bikes not one make and it must be based in the UK or its pointless as the references get lost. I'm still on NC700 forum as I'm still suffering the pangs of loss of my NC750X by a dastardly SEAT. I'm also still on TRIUMPHRAT forum even though my Triumph is close to death on life support as we speak. Reason I'm here as I want to talk about all bikes and see either if people here know answers to queries I have or know where to find the info, which is just as useful. I currently ride an MT-09 Tracer 16 reg however I would have bought a Tiger Sport if one had been available at the time. I also looked at Crossrunners but I cannot get past "VTEC whats the point" & "how much for a 16K service!". 1 Quote
Simon Davey Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Welcome to the forum @stevecase29465 You'll get your answers here, most of the time. There are even a couple of technical guys who know what they're talking about, and even a couple of proper mechanics. 1 Quote
bonio Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Welcome in mate. All I know about bikes is what I've learnt on this forum. So don't expect any sensible ideas out of me. 2 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Hi and welcome. joys of a non specific forum is less hardcore follower one up man’s of I know more shite than you or how dare you you say one bad word of our holy maker! many here have had different brands, ages of bikes and experience so its more rounded with more giggles and less clicky group. 1 Quote
stevecase29465 Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 Yeah that kinda follows, I would not generally ask very model specific questions here, more does anyone know... TriumphRat is very manufacturer specific whereas NC700.co.uk was model specific but becomes more of a community forum as time goes on. I have also joined FJ09.org for Tracer specific questions, but I also expect some of the why would you do/think that type responses there. That said I have already asked on that site if anyone could point me at correct bolt sizes to replace ones fitted with the crash bars and I got punted off to the fiches which just have order codes. so we shall see! bonio Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I'm a member of the MV Agusta forum. It's good for questions about torques and replacement screens and stuff but not a place to hang out. Quote
