Paul Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Hi all. Just returned from a quick ride and noticed I have contamination on my rear tyre.I know what it is. It is Chain Lube and some of it is on the sidewall of the tyre and a tiny bit is on the main bit of the tyre on the edge.I want to remove it obviously but don't want to do the tyre in so what would be the best way of removing it?I am thinking warm soapy water but not 100% sure hence the ask. Stu Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 hot water and wipe it off with a rag too never had any problems doing this i have been known to even pour boiling water on the tyre while i turn the wheel at the same time the heat isnt on long enough to damage the tyre but enough to remove the oil Quote
