bud Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Yeah you should be able to get your bike back. Just have to wade through the red tape. That is unless it was a Norton, and while in for a service they stripped your pride and joy for parts! 1 Quote

Triumph want £3500 minimum deposit for a peasant base spec 1200 tiger with no options for one example… base bobber is £2700. mt09 is £2500. doesn’t matter if that’s pcp or Hp. I'm staggered that companies are asking more. Quote

There is some interest in the BMW dealership - but it’s nowhere near certain it will survive. Quote
Bungleaio Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Mixed emotions for me with Pidcock, I bought my street triple from Pidcock back in 2018 and they were great. Went to their BMW dealership in 2021 made an appointment to test a GS for a few days later but when I got there they just asked me to sit next to the coffee machine, after half an hour of waiting the salesman went over to the receptionist and said to her that he was too busy with a potential sale so get me another coffee and he'll check my license and give me the keys when he'd got time. I got up and walked out. They called me a couple of days later to see if I wanted to come back and try again. I didn't. Tried a Tiger in 2023 from Triumph with the same sales guy that sold me my Street Triple, liked it and was prepared to do a deal but they said they might be getting one in a few months so try calling them to see if they had got one. I called another dealer and they got it from the factory in a couple of days. Also tried a Multistrada from Ducati, I liked it but they weren't prepared to do any discounts which made it unaffordable for me. I asked about a used one and they said just have a look on their website and see if there's any that I liked the look of then call them to speak to them about it. Sorry that people have lost their jobs but they were a bit of a weird bunch. Quote

WildnFrantic Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Hartgate in Mitcham is still very much alive and kicking - they downsized as the owner is getting on a bit plus they gave up RE. P&H going is a kick in the teeth as been going in there for years - Marcus, the sales manager was a decent guy and the dealership going is a big loss It seems to sum up the motorcycle industry at the moment Quote

Do you know why they gave up RE? It's quite popular given all the buzz about their new models. Quote

I'd heard, through the grapevine, that as now RE were dealing direct with dealers, and not MotoGB, that they were becoming difficult to deal with Quote
Mawsley Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Superbike Factory is going to be the next Carnells/Motorcycle City. The few interactions I’ve had leave me with the distinct impression they’re as dodgy as fvck. Quote
RideWithStyles Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 MotoGb have been “difficult” for so many years its gone beyond a laughing matter, more of amazement of when rather than if… Quote
