ive seen the performance from a 636, its outstanding to be honest, butt having to say, the gixer would be faster, so maybe they couldnt handle it going full wack and didnt go all the way thro the acceleration ^^

Posted

i dont get the 636's. why did they do em any what years. the 08 is a 600. the zx6r. or do they do an extra 636 ninja each year or was it just a once off????

Posted

the 636 will do 162 in the real world ;)

the 750 wouldn't be much quicker but would accelerate harder.

ZX9's were quicker than R1's ....Kwaks were always pretty fast

 I'm voting but saying nowt else!

It's not big, it's not clever, i shouldn't have done it, but it's damn exhilerating and i didn't get caught so it's ok.

Never really seen the big thing about going flat out speed.

If anything i think i prefer to stay below 100mph.

BUT

So far i done an indicated 130 on my bike.

And an indicated 150 in my old car.

Both times were just one off's to see what it was like.

In the car,no problem at all

On the bike i couldn't keep my head straight

I'd much rather be leant over in a corner at 40 than flat out on a motorway at 100+.

140 when I was on the test ride for the bike I have now....

That was with the missus on the back round Swindon bypass.....

150 last year on an autobahn.... with the missus and luggage following a merc....

Late 80's on a hired cbr1000..... Flat out in top.... It would not go any faster.... between 160 and 170.....

Around 135-140 on my CBR 600F. As already stated, would rather go round corners with it cranked over than do straight line high speeds.

Though sometimes you just think "F*ck everything" and do it.

That is, of course, if you don't have a wife and kids, like me

125mph on my test...... I wanted to lose the examiner so he couldn`t see me feck it up.

just to clarify , my indicated top speed was on the mountain at the isle of man....not on the motorway.

If you do go that quick on the motorway over here you need your head looking at. Its not hard on a straight road but its real easy to become a statistic or end up in jail.

if you wanna go really quick go to the IOM , its the best place on Earth ;)

oh and a corner at a tonne plus is more fun than at 40 lol...40 is too slow anyway that would be a tight corner not a nice flowing bend.

Bushy's is awesome , youll see some awesome racing, some topless women , loads of loons acting like dicks and youll love every minute :D

A friend has a tuned Fireblade that hits 195mph with one rider. With me on the back it did 180mph. It was on a runway, over half a mile.

Never been so scared, it was soooo fast my reactions were struggling to keep up with the rate of speed.

145 can't remember where  once I saw that I started a thinkin' what if ? that slowed me down.

The Waterworks are my favorite on The TT course probably because I never got it wrong, can't say the same about the rest of the course.

Had a great track day at Pembury on a Guzzi tourer, really Pi**ed off a guy on a CBR1000 as I passed him at the hairpin every time, rain...................................... a great leveller

Just for you ;) IOM is the Isle Of Man, in the Irish sea... Where they do the TT every year.. and in NI (Northern Ireland) you got the Ulster Grand Prix and the North West 200... Road racing is scary as hell to watch. But damn good at the same time :P

Anyway I would never condone speeding. Suffice to say....

Exactly what Rennie said !!!

the real draw of the Isle Of Man is the lack of speed limits out of town ;)

they literally dont have a speed limit out of town.

weird feeling to go blasting past a cop car at well over a ton knowing you are legal to do it
