    • No, I don't mind waiting for breakdown assistance.

Not the best idea.

The battery on a bike usually will die pretty quickly unless you have the engine running.

One of those lithium battery compressor will probably be more than enough for more than 2 tyres

Yes, one would indeed have the engine running, I did this every day on holiday.

The query was compatibility with the BMW CAN bus running the air pump through the powered socket, I suggested running it from the battery, thinking it wouldn't affect the CAN bus.

@rob m. I like that mate. Thank you.

Will grab myself one and give it to Santa to take care of until Christmas.

Looks natty.

I've added to the list of things that I'd like for Christmas but it gets ignored so I'll likely order one on Boxing Day.

Not being a fan of tank bags and top boxes, and there is no room under the seat, so more often than not I carry a small tyre inflator and repair kit in my rucksack.

I do sometimes use the Bumot top box when commuting, I just throw the kit in there with my laptop. Its been well documented that a top box upsets the dynamics of a KTM 🤣

Should add on tour I carry a cable repair kit too. You just never know.

The can bus will take up to about 10 amps

I plug mine in to my optimate lead it saves any messing about

And I run the bike while in use

This is what I have

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Inflator-AA-Compact-Lightweight-Portable/

One of the smallest out there that I could find

I have one of these but find the hose that fits on the valve very short. What you see in the photo is about all you get.

I carry a can of aerosol "tyre weld" and use the compressor to top up the pressure.
