Hey, new to the forum and new to bikes, a learner at best. Needing some advice in regards to a bike I had imported from New Zealand. I was talked into shipping over this bike by a friend but when it arrived it is way out of my league lol. So the question I wanted to ask is where could I advertise this for sale other than auto trader etc, is it a popular bike and are they easy to sell or is it going to sit in my garage for years to come and what sort of price could I get for this. Anybody’s help would be massively appreciated:

Kawasaki Ninja H2 1000 Hyper Sport, Black and Green, registered in the uk as a 22 plate and has only 1 mile on it, just serviced by Kawasaki chesterfield, has 2 keys and all

documentation.

thanks in advance

kind regards Ashley

Why did you transport it over?
Well depends, what you want out of this?

as an long term investment that your happy to just sit on and stare at.
Or just sell and rid?

now how much did you pay for it? Because at the moment if you paid full tick price, transport, reg and stuff your not gonna get them same you paid out for.

why not auto trader? EBay is another.

the bike it is desirable, surprised if it sells as quickly as say gs or hd etc only because the price and particular person that would want it and have the means to it but aslong as it not price is not silly I don’t think it will stay for long.

Thanks for Your reply, just to answer your questions I have been importing mainly vehicles as they are all RHD in New Zealand to sell on so thought this bike might have been a good idea. Just started to get into bikes not selling but riding but don’t think I would qualify to drive this on my L plates lol, it’s probably cost me around 25.5k all in, don’t know if this is cheap or expensive. I guess you live and learn but appreciate you taking the time out to help.

kind regards Ashley (just thought I would add some more pictures as it is a beast, just love the way it looks)

Sorry, I can't help with your question, but I would change your understanding of "friend" if I were you 😬

The H2 is an amazing bike, but not a machine for the fainthearted. It's a bit of a beast. I've never ridden one, and it's not on my wish list, but I wouldn't mind the chance to have a go, just to feel the terror of moment

It's in bit of a niche market: sports tourers are out and adv bikes have largely taken their place. I guess it's a competitor to the R1300RT, but the BMW is a classic "pipe and slippers" bike, whereas the H2 comes with factory-fitted bad attitude. The beemers sell by the garage-load. Fewer want an H2, but for those who do, it's a highly prized bike. People who are looking to get one will happily across the country for one that's in good nick.

Stick it on autotrader. It will show among all dealers offering the same bike. If yours had an attractive price on it (and factor in the absence of dealer guarantee), it will sell.

Thanks for Your reply appreciate it, your post is very informative for a newbie like me, I think I’ve took the expression of diving in the deep end a bit too far, it’s more like diving into the middle of the sea 😀

These are big money bikes which are no longer being made. I can only see the prices going up so if you can afford to sit on it and wait it should only appreciate. If you do want to move it on you will likely get your money back.

what i dont understand here is.  If you are indeed a novice rider (you also mentioned L plates) why did you think a Ninja H2 was going to be a bike you could use in the UK?  Surely the only reason to import this bike was to sell it on?
