  1. Thanks, really appreciated. Its about the third time (hopefully the last). She had to do it for her Criminology undergraduate, her Masters in Psychology and now her 2nd masters, in Forensic Psychology. All this and she has also had a baby (who was 1 year old last week). Its ben a mad few years.
  2. thanks all for taking the time to complete the survey, it's really appreciated. I think the scenarios are designed to get those responses, her job is to analyse it now and write up her thesis. If she makes the number of required responses it will be a great achievement to get the piece published. I didn't realise how difficult it is get the required responses.
  3. i want to thank all who have completed this as it is a big help. She is still 130 short of what she needs to get the paper published. If anyone can share it will be greatly appreciated, the more people i can reach the better for her. Must by UK based and over 18. https://ntupsychology.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_ezJqF36SC8DT1JQ
  4. last weekend was good, Cast were great. The football not so much so, local team lost and so did my sons team. This weekend is a bit less busy, the main thing is the Cup Semi Final on Sunday morning . massive game for my sons team this week and really hope they get to the final.
  5. This weekend - going to see cast on Friday - football on Saturday, watching L1 match - I am a coach for my son's U14 team so Sunday morning we have a match against the team most likely to win the league (they have won every match) although we did beat them in the cup. So should be a close one.
  6. It was great, tiring but worth every second. As we are not local we don't see them as often as we would like.
  7. luckily we got there after they had already done it.
  8. I had a 100mile trip to my daughter's in Nottingham to celebrate my grandsons 1st birthday. A full day Saturday of party plus watching the rugby followed by a visit to Twycross Zoo today. Then the 100mile drive home. I am knackered.
  9. Sorry for the short response previously but i was on my phone. Homestay.im - Official homestay for the Isle of Man TT & Manx Grand Prix. - HomeStay.im - The Official TT & MGP HomeStay Provider I booked very late as it was a spur of the moment decision so had to make do with what was left, this meant going to race week was not really an option. Homestay is a way to get accommodation and is great. I didn't want to camp as i wanted to ensure i have a dry warm bed and a shower, as it happened it was the hottest TT for a very long time. As for the ferry, it is what it is really because there is not really any cheap way of doing this (especially if you want to take your bike). The ferry is the main hinderance when going to IOM as there are only a limited number of crossings. One possible way i have heard about is for 2 or 3 people to share and take a van with your bikes in, you will save a little as taking 1 van is cheaper than taking 2 bikes. I travelled from Liverpool as it is closer to my home (not by much), shorter crossing and had larger ferries, this is not not the case any more as Haysham has a new much larger ferry (Maxman) and i have heard its a nicer port than Liverpool and possible a little cheaper. While you are there everything is as cheap as you want to make it. Eating, fuel etc is about the same cost as the UK. The only piece of advice i would give you is ....... if budget is a real hinderance, save your money until next year. This way you can add to your budget and book accommodation and ferry early so you have more choices. Doing it on a shoestring may hinder your experience. Good luck and enjoy, it is a great experience.
  10. the controller definitely works as the light comes on and is consistent. I do have it connected directly to my battery. i have no other heated gear. Keis did respond pretty quickly to my query with them.
  11. I went last year pretty cheap. I went a couple of days before practice started and stayed in a lovely lady's house for about £60 a night, including full English every morning. She was walking distance from Bray Hill.
  12. a big thank you to everyone, this will be a huge help for her "2nd" masters.
  13. apologies, not sure why it wasnt working Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management
  14. Hi all My daughter is doing a masters in Forensic Psychology and really needs people to fill out a survey for her data analysis. It would be greatly appreciated if you can spare 10mins of your time to answer the questions in the link below. She still needs over 200 responses and is really struggling to get them. Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management Many thanks in advance.
  15. For some reason the photos were the wrong way round. I have the inline £20 one. The other is about £50 ish.
  16. I have this one I assume you have this one
  17. Thanks. If you had it on high I assume you would be able to clearly feel the heat. I am wondering if mine are faulty Or could by controller be restricting heat? I have the basic in line controller as I don't think the others work with just the gloves.
  18. Bought a pair of Keis inner gloves as my hands are the only part of my body that are feeling the cold. It was 0 degrees at 6:30 this morning when I left for work. I was hoping for great things from these gloves. However I was disappointed in the temperature, I had it on high setting all the time and where my hands were not cold they were not toastie, which was what I hoped. No need for any other setting really. Can anyone else confirm that this is normal for these gloves. Or are mine just too weak?
  19. mine also snapped but not in the same place, i did buy another from them but i am not using the UA USB port any more, changed to one with a switch
  20. i went for the first time this year and it was amazing (obviously i cant comment on how its changed from the 80's), the weather obviously played a huge part in it but it was great. The locals are friendly, the police leave you alone (unless you actually do something wrong). The mountain course is so much fun to ride, and now it is one way for the entirety of the TT timetable it is a lot better. No more mad Sunday carnage and quite quiet at some times.
  21. Scrapped the idea of a cafe in Liverpool. Opted for a stop in the peak District instead at the yonderman cafe in Buxton. I think I made the right choice it is beautiful here
  22. Thanks, I did see that one. Does it take long to get to the docks from there
  23. Thanks for the advice. I am coming from the peak District area. There seems to be a couple in and around the Wirral area. Bear pit cafe or the seaside cafe. Are any in this area worth a try Just want somewhere safe I can sit outside with a brew
  24. Does anyone know of a biker cafe in or around Liverpool, Google has not suggested much. On the way to IOM today and would like a stop off before boarding the ferry.
