That sounds too good to me. There are fake NGK spark plugs around apparently.

If you do a google search there is info online about how to spot the fakes.

I had a thorough look at all 10 when they arrived, and they all seem to be legit based on what the internet tells me to look out for as far as fakes go, even down to the tiny little dimple on top of the terminal.

Someone at Amazon clearly priced these up wrong, probably putting the decimal point in the wrong place, but at 39p per spark plug I'm not going to complain.

An absolute bargain.

Check back and see if they're still listed, maybe someone has realised, or, maybe they're too stupid to realise, or, maybe you just got a mega bargain.....

You'll only need two, even if you kept it 15 years.

Time for a little profit?

A guy I know has just had his engine seize after a seemingly genuine spark plug broke. I hope you've got a bargain but personally I wouldn't trust any spark plug from Amazon.

Thing is that the counterfeiters also have access to the internet....

I might be inclined to post one to NGK UK and ask them to confirm if it is genuine?  If you can be bothered of course

I've taken the full box down to a little mechanic I know, and they have said that as far as they can tell, looking them over themselves and comparing them with ones they have themselves from official suppliers, that they are genuine.  Someone clearly made a mistake in listing them at £3.99 for ten.  Either it was supposed to be £3.99 each, or £39.99 for the box of ten.  Either way, I'm happy.

Have also, out of curiosity, and as mentioned by @Davidtav, just popped a message off to NGK UK via their website asking if they would be interested in taking a look at one to see if they are legit.  I'm quite certain they are, but would be interesting to see what NGK themselves say.

I got similar from amazon a few years ago. Bought a plug in nightlight for the hallway. They sent out a box with 12 in it

Yes. But this is actually advertised as a box of ten. The reviews aren’t great. Personally I wouldn’t put one in my bike. But obviously I hope I’m wrong and Chris has a bargain

Except the product is now unavailable!  Maybe someone clocked the wrong price!  Seriously though. That’s great if they are genuine!

Well done on getting a genuine bargain then. Good to know that NGK think they are legit.

In general I subscribe to the philosophy that if something seems to good to be true then it generally isn't. But every now and again you strike lucky.
