Maybe the mags RR of choice was a little more optimistic , done in a cooler, more dense, closer to sea level environment at the time that in a sweat box of Japan and their or pessimistic of average?

And now I have got the bike, I cannot ride it, as a disc in my lower back has ruptured, pressing against a nerve, so total rest for me.

That's  a bit of a bugger.  I wonder when you were queuing up at the heavenly quartermasters stores for your official issue of future life experiences, that you were told to go stand in the same queue as I was.

 

I did note the sign said the "more stringent life" but I did not know what stringent meant at the time.

As a family, we are on a run of bad luck, so it does feel that way.
