Then it started for a bit, coughed and stopped. Put it on choke... same thing. Switched to reserve tank. Same. Plenty of fuel in the tank anyway. Almost no smell of fuel from the exhaust. I have had a 2 stroke outboard for 20 years, it used get challenging to start run rough get annoying, change spark plug all fine. Now the only clue you get is if its not starting first pull once or twice and very soon after it will not start. Same brand plug bought from same shop. 2 Quote

I had a lambretta in the early 70's. If it didn't start on the 3 or 4th kick change the plug and then it was fine. I used to carry several spare plugs. Edited Wednesday at 14:13 by JRH Typo 2 Quote
