  1. Aye, tried both and all of that when I had the bike with me. Not a single bit of movement. Heres hoping the garage manage it with some heat and teasing
  2. Just isnt having any of it.. called several garages and they all mentioned how stubborn they are on these bikes. They said they need heating up and even then, the heads can snap off etc.. So I've just left it with a garage I've always trusted. Bloody typical... I was also told by the same garage that the Bandit's manifold bolts are made of alloy or cast alloy? and the head is made of something different and when warmed up after awhile they actually infuse together :S nice... bet that's even more fun. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
  3. So, I'm replacing the exhaust system on my new bike (the 125 is gone). Basically.. The manifold bolts are allen bolts.. why on earth? I tried to take one off and it just wont budge... any ideas or tips? (I have soaked in WD40). Cheers.
  4. Sorted it just tonight It was the Power valve control unit not working, I replaced that, aswell as a new power valve unit, and voila, works
  5. Cheers for the replies. I have seemed to fix the revving case. The wire was getting caught on its housing, keeping it open. There is still an issue with 'stuttering'. I did a compression test, and that came out healthy, so I'm unsure on this one.. I am currently taking the carb apart now, but the Choke seems to be stuck in it's housing, 'VERY' stuck. Trying to remove it, which is proving a royal pain. I will clean the carb out and stick it back together. Still unsure why it could be stuttering though Cheers.
  6. I feel cheeky posting this up, as I haven't posted in a long time. I have been amazingly busy with university exams, and a ton of other things. Now, to the subject at hand. I was riding my 125 Planet today (Only 1 month till the big bike ) but... The power started to dip strangely... and it would only o 20mph on full throttle, and feel 'unsecure'. I pulled over, had a look to make sure the cables were not stretched or anything odd. I saw nothing, so fired her up again. I continued my journey as I had an exam today! (20mph all the way) until suddenly the bike just decided to constantly rev and not stop lol! Even when I pulled the clutch in, it didnt seem to help too much (now that was scary lol) I managed to turn the bike off via key, and pull to the side (coasting). Now.. I have no idea what could be wrong? The engine not long ago had a full rebuild, and I dont go silly on it, so I doubt it is the cylinder/piston (I generally know what that feels like lol) But.. I will do a compression test tomorrow.. Any ideas of what to look for? I'm thinking maybe the choke is jammed inside the carb, or even the needle worn or something.. (The choke seemed to stop working like a month ago (The lever wont budge.. but when I manually pull the wire, I tend to get more rev's..) hmm... Cheers. -Sorry for the lengthy post, and good to see you all again
  7. The bushes were fine I managed to fix it though, cheers for the reply
  8. Had another look at it today. I took out the 'thread' and gave it all a good clean etc. I then cleaned the magnetic coils.. and afew other stuff.. and put it back together.. and woohoo it works now Cheers for all the replies.
  9. Just took it off and gave it all a clean etc.. put it back together and put it on the bike and well.. It doesn't work at all now, not even when I do the usual 'kick method'. However.. On inspection I could see that the 'cog' was turning.. but didnt seem very powerful..? also, I could hear the cog turning, which I couldn't before.. I'm guessing this means a new starter then?
  10. Okay, I wont use brake cleaner! So, how do i check the 'coils' ? Do I have to remove the starter etc? Cheers!
  11. hehe Okay, thanks though!
  12. Wires? This is what mine kinda looks like: http://i12.ebayimg.com/01/i/001/01/b8/5350_1.JPG
  13. I'm assuming I have to take the starter off to get to the solenoid?
  14. lol, Will do this on the weekend (Will some brake cleaner be fine to use?) Cheers.
  15. Just a quick one Bike one day wouldn't start via the push switch (only method). Now.. There is one way It will work... If you give the starter motor a little kick while pressing the starter button (lol...) and now, it either does or doesn't work after a ride (however, the give the stater motor a slight kick works) Not very 'practical'. Now.. What would be wrong with the starter motor for it to be like this? (Is it even the starter motor?) Should I replace the starter motor, or simply take it off and fix what could be wrong (dont know...) Cheers.
  16. You have a good bike now!!! Where in England do you live? Humberside Yeah, I love the bike (Just want the 750 for more power and comfort (As said, commute to university everyday ) Saying that... Today I went in my Jacket and Jeans (Biking Jacket) and it started to rain.. lol

  19. Right... might seem like a funny one.. but oh well... lol! I have a textile jacket and after riding alot in the heat.. you can imagine how sweaty it gets in there lol! So the smell isnt the best after a long time How would you guys clean the jacket? Would it be safe to take the armour out and shove it in the washer? (If they come out) or Dry clean? or some other method? I once febreezed it and it ended up smelling like vinegar! lol ugh!
  20. I wouldn't bother. I know it may sound harsh.. but if you risk it.. I do hope you get caught... We all have to stick to the rules
