Thanks for your replies! I will report back in due course once I've dug our tent out of the loft and seen if it's suitable for the trip. Or, whether I splash the cash 🏍️

So, I'm soon to set off for a week around the UK and our tent we sling in the car is a 4 person Vango. Pretty decent but may be a tad to big to strap to the bike. I'll find out more when I dig it out of the loft in a few days time. I may need an alternative and have been browsing all sorts and the ones that have caught my eye, and seem to be suitable are 3 person DofE award recommended. Vango Apex, Scafell, Tryfan..... Does anybody have experience of these or may recommend summat different budget is up to £150 max and also happy to buy used

Hoping to get home Thursday, and with Mrs Essexboy working this weekend, I'll have to go out on a bike And, plan the loading of tent and stuff onto the machine for my upcoming week round the UK. Currently sitting in a hotel in Stanley knowing my flight tomorrow is delayed 24hrs as it's a tad breezy .

Good day to you all! I was wondering if anyone is taking a trip or short break on their bike end May/early June and would put up with a tag along . It turns out my wife and daughter are off to Benners for the week on the booze and my dog is on holiday too that week. I owned a CB650R previously and it was a cracking bike and would have another. Some schools are affiliated to Honda (for example) and used to offer big savings on a new bike when you passed your test. I got 1K knocked off a brand new bike as I passed with a Honda affiliated school. Might be worth asking your local training schools if the deal currently exists?
