Trouble is...would a 16 year old given 2 days training be any more sensible than they are now? Probably not.

If they're going to stagger anything it should be that those with a car license can still pass in a day. No car license means needs more like a week. Terrified me that a 16 year old who has never driven on the road or even picked up the highway code can be allowed to ride around after 3 or 4 hours training. Or half an hour if you listen to the rumours of dodgy test centres.

Depends on the venue. Not illegal but a lot of places now ban it. Also watch for - over smoking the e cig...you end up having 60 or 80 a day equivalent as it tastes nice. People at work say you have to buy the good liquid as the cheap stuff has all sorts in it (?) Guess that goes for everything really. Might be better than smoking but still suspected to cause respiratory issues!

I've been pulled twice Once I was driving like a loon in a hire car. I didn't argue, was polite and got a bit of bollocking about it being a red route, and told if he caught me again id be in deep doo-doo then was sent on my way. He'd been following me for a while and it was a fair shout. I fully deserved a ticket that day. The other was an ass. He claimed I was doing over 40mph, which I wasn't, plus he was 3 cars back so love to know how he got a camera on me! id just shot off the line from the lights and he said I was chasing another police car that had gone through on blues and twos a minute ago, in fact I was trying to get ahead of the car next to me so I could turn right at the next traffic lights where home was 100m away. Yes I could have waited and dropped in behind but I didn't want to. He was a twat. Would have loved to argue but couldn't get a word in edgeways then he said he was on an urgent job (so why stop me in the first place? Also he had no lights or siren on) And he shot off down the road. People like that give police officers a bad name.

You will pretty much always get a bit wet. Best option if you're that bothered, spend 20 quid on some plastic overalls. You get specific ones although any extra large set will do. Not classy but will keep more of the rain off

Plus goods have to be fit for purpose, I'd say no headlights makes a vehicle unfit for use. I'm no legal expert but pretty sure the garage can bugger off I'd they think they don't have to help
