looks good matey im trying to get my cb500 looking nice. only cost me £400 but ive spent a few more just getting it half decent. will be good to see your final piccys -
im interested in all ride outs just waiting on getting the bike back together so out of action for the next week - 2 weeks but after that im out. wales and Yorkshire interest me ive already done the glasson docks to lakes route.

as everyone else has said, i had that issue a few weeks ago, turned out the battery for me but when i tested it off the bike the optimate said good. the voltage was 12.3 if i remember but when i got a new battery it was around 13.5v fully charged. on the bike at around 5,000 revs think it hit around 14.9v or so. think really its going to be the reg/rec as your batterys new but you could check your wiring's ok after that alternator but im pretty sure reg/rec will sort it and their cheap and easy to fit.

right near me mate im in eccles must be about 2 miles lol. my brothers got a bandit too he might come out if hes not polishing the bloody thing all day told him to just stick it on a stand in his room! bugger never mind i had to take my two girls out for swimming lessons so im stuck till 11:30am at the minute need to get it changed to a saturday!! ill pm you my mobile if you like along with the lad from urmston and the others. i get paid next friday so if anyone fanices it maybe we can plan something!

the old nsr 125s are nice my brother had one. usually can get one for a round £800 on ebay might be worth a haggle. i was in the same boat i only had a small budget in the end i had to settle for doing a bit of work to it over time. probably spent a few quid extra on it now but it got me back on the road.

same as everyone else,might want to give the radiator a flush out anyway if its an old one. my cb500s getting on andwhen i flushed it , it had two different coolents in there lol! bit of gunk too guess from corrosion over the years. check all your coolent pipes too for leaks,blockages.

hi mate no worries ive had a five year break so it feels pretty new again to me too lol. ill pm you or vice versa when im thinking of going out,usually out every other weekend at least, need to try to find a meeting place to for regulars in manchester area!!
