  1. The lexmoto rider who overtook me on the m5 this morning... Wait no that didn't happen carry on...
  2. If I leave my hair down it gets dry and knotty so I just plat it keeps it neat and tidy
  3. To the little white van driver (you know those things the same size as a standard car) If you're going to be a moron and pull out on me on a round about when I'm on your entrance to roundabout, and you're moving off from a stand still... DO NOT GET PISSY WITH ME WHEN I YELL AT YOU! That emergency stop was fun D: not!
  4. NOTD goes to me. Although not today. I didn't keep a close enough check on how lose my chain was getting, knew I was needing a new one asap though - left it until it was around 4" too loose cause I wasn't paying enough attention D: AND didn't notice my closing cable for the accelerator was not working... Baby is better though..
  5. It was a question don't try and be a smart ass because you are behind a screen..... Personally, I'd say this to your face. And to echo someone else - if you can't pass the UK test then you're not fit to be on the roads, so don't put the rest of us in danger ya
  6. I'm voting no confidence. When I was a student I tried lib dems (hey they said they'd keep tuition fee's lower!).. That backfired massively. I have no trust in any of them. Was going to go with Green, but it's all pipe dreams and not actually doable in the grand scheme of things. Plus the whole bike thing...
  7. I ride a honda... I was going to vote green party - but they want to bring in new rules against motorbikes. so not going to bother, it's not like any of the parties are actually going to make things any better.
  8. Well my second lesson went much better than my first lesson! Really glad about that.. Did some clutch control stuff, using the clutch as a break, weirded me out a little I have to say. My instructor told me that driving a car is exactly the same as riding a bike... I don't think he's been on a motorbike some how. It is completely different. Different method for controls, different layout different road positioning. Next lesson is next monday, hopefully do some reversing stuff then . Thanks for the tips guys
  9. Nice, congrats keep up the good work
  10. Well I got that far I've driven cars plenty, safely in fields at a max speed of 20mph. Yeah the reduced visibility irritates me. why do cars need them stupid pillar things in the way grr Yeah, The clutch thing I need to work.. so frustrating trying to learn my way around a car in comparison to the bike.. haha, yeah I'm cool with that, only gonna be driving in rain and shit weather.. Bike the rest of the time. Hate cars, I get car sick Bikers do make better car drivers, well unless they cant break bike habits to get used to it.. Would love responses from bike to car drivers.. Might have better tips (no offence lol )
  11. Hey guys. Hope you're all well I've started driving lessons now, been on the bike for 8 years (full license since June), so I need to break some of the bike habits (like where my ass sits in the lane) and how to get around the corners without causing a blow out (first lesson ended 15mins in cause I hit a kerb and blew the tyre...). So any tips from bikers going to cars? My mum is gonna put me on her insurance so when I need a lift places I can drive the car, but I'll still be using the bike the majority of the time so gonna be harder to break bike safe habits so I can learn to drive properly. Any tips are very much welcome! Miss Meg
  12. I'm down near Taunton, constantly riding up to Bristol so gimme a shout if you wanna ride
  13. Nob of the day goes to the cager who, saw me riding through a little bit of a flood, decided to go pretty damn fast through it, sending water over my head and drenching me. Very unimpressed! ARGHHH
  14. Well done! Let me know when your settled, could do a ride around, lots of nice places down this way lol
  15. when is it? I may be able to. I live in somerset, aroun 45mins away from shitwater
  16. The a$$wipe who (I work in a petrol station...) decided to drive off without paying for petrol, told me he just had to get his wallet, got into passenger side of his (probably stolen) car then climbed into drivers seat and drove off. Don't fret I think I remembered his number plate. I hate people. I'd rather be a butterfly.
  17. Hey, I did mine with Durston Elms (Roger) really nice people! Roger doesn't put anyone through who he doesn't think are up to standard. £80 for a 3 hour lesson, which if you've been riding a while like I was, you'd not need too many. For the MOD1 practice, they tend to nip down to AMT (I think) down towards weston zoyland/bridgwater as their surfacing is much better. I passed first time with these guys, with a total of 3 minors. Super friendly people, you might be filmed during riding, to see where you go wrong on anything, which is helpful so you can see it for yourself. Best of luck

  20. I think it depends on the instructors. During my test, if I didn't feel comfortable with my left foot down, I just put both feet down (which is apparently allowed...) I know I slipped up and just put my right foot down a couple of times, but I never got marked down for it. Just have to be aware of what is going on around you. But ask the riding school you're with, as they will know if the examiners are nit pickers
  21. First off... Please try and get some sort of boots (I think shoe zone do some..) you need the ankle support, trainers do not give that, also most riding schools won't allow you to do your CBT wearing them. You might be able to borrow some bike trousers from the riding school. But find out from them. As for the cbt, relax, enjoy it. LISTEN to everything you're told even if it all seems common sense. Remember which break is the rear break, cause you do not want to use the front one and fall over... Good luck
  22. Good luck in your MOD2 Graham! The kawasaki er6 is a lovely bike, I did my test on that one too, and it was so easy for handling and general riding for me
  23. The following road signs and instructions don't worry too much about... If you miss the turning or take the wrong exit on a roundabout, just continue either around fully if safe to do, or until the the junction your in the lane to come off. Same with following road signs, continue on, until either safe to turn around/another sign or until the examiner says stop. I missed my junction off the roundabout and followed through to the junction off that the lane I was in allowed and passed fine The most important things are the life savers and mirrors.
  24. So my mod 2 was today.. At 1:45.. When I got to my riding school, a lad was just getting back from his A2 MOD2 test.. He'd failed.. Put me off a little bit! My lesson before the test went awful! I was in the wrong lane on the roundabout, missed turnings, speed was all off.. Just a terrible lesson! I wanted to just quit then and there lol.. On my test, eye sight fine, questions fine. Ride, independant ride first, following 'minehead' that was all good, wasn't sure of speed limit on one of the roads, but as soon as I saw the sign said 40 I sped up, was pretty jerky when trying to speed up, let go of the clutch a bit fast and then the throttle went a bit weird. Some of my pulling off on junctions was a bit awkward and I was putting my foot down a bit much/not pulling it up when I could have. At some traffic lights, they had just turned amber, I kept going when really I could have stopped, got seperated from the examiner, which meant waiting on double yellows and holding some traffic. Got going again, and some <>head in a 4x4 pulled around us, I didn't see him. I was indicating to pull away, then as I had he came past me pushing me back towards curb. Heading back to the test center, I missed the junction off the roundabout, my lane positioning was a bit rubbish there too annoyingly. Noticed it after I went past, decided to just get off at the next junction and the examiner would decided to turn us around or find another route back. I really thought I'd failed, that ride was not my best riding by any stretch of the imagination. But all in all, I got 2 minors, one for indicating dunno if it was too late/left on/too early lol knowing me, probably slightly too late not sure though. And one for positioning on the round about I think? not sure lol.. So, MOD1 and MOD2 both passed first time around yay
  25. Visor down? I've never had L plates or a 125cc, but I can see how especially L plates achieve the opposite of what they are supposed to do. Instead of people being patient with learners, they harass them. It's a war out there! Lol I did have my visor down.. D: and yep we get harassed, even though I bet I have more no claims than most of these jack<> drivers out there harassing me.. (7 years!) cant wait to have more power beneith me
