  1. Kn filter struggled along and wouldnt rev properly when moving. Hiflo one thats in there (my old one) runs fine. So not sure what else could be causing it all i changed was the air filter problem was solved
  2. Recently i purchased a K&N air filter, it basically stopped my bike taking in the air it required compared to the old one. However i disposed of the packaging as i assumed a new £50 air filter would not be a problem.. Now i need to return it, but what are my rights ? As the item does not work even though specified for my bike.
  3. What kind of friend are you!! I fixed my bike anyhow... New air filter disagreed with it.
  4. you got £2499 spare?
  5. GO AWAY CONSCIENCE! Just where the petrol leaked, just had the tank off so i say "Inside"
  6. On an unrelated note but related to the topic. I put a new clip on, washed the inside carefully, seems fine. Now i just need to fix to god damn spark plug issue
  7. Well god damn son... WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR
  8. Im getting a memory of only fools and horses.. Oh well what could go wrong.
  9. Totes
  10. Don't think the insurance company would agree
  11. Haha cheers man i'm up for a commute to burn those factories down Gonna pop down the local car parts shop and get a new clip to make sure it don't come off again.. Gonna get a hot soapy sponge and my foreceps and get in to clean most of it off then let it dry i think!
  12. Went out to my bike this morning, excited to get back on it and as i open the cover i smell fuel... "Probably just a little left over from where i put it back on last night" NOPE My entire tank all over the floor (£20 down the drain yay) the clip (Similar to a jubilee clip?) had decided it didnt want to hold on anymore and smother my bike in lovely fuel.. Well one of the engine casings needs repainting now lucky me..but my entire engine inside was soaked in it, So i was planning on letting it dry before i use it to avoid burning to death.. But should i wash it out with anything? SOme form of degreaser? or a bucket of hot water poured down inside? Thoroughly annoyed that i fix one issue i get a worse one!
  13. Got one of them It's putting the new one on i was more thinking
  14. Unfortunately the lack of a chain makes moving the bike (unless downhill) slightly awkward Not sure of the difference but thanks for the tip
  15. Or you could loan it to me for a packet of monster munch and a can of lilt?
  16. Kinda what i was thinking.. £100 is a decent price for a good chain, next one on sbs is like £60 probably getting cheapy stuff then Will have a look for a chain breaker, see if i can get one for reasonable price annoying they're so darn much..
  17. Ordering a new chain come pay day, as mine is in a bad way. Stuck between 2 chains only difference is the price and the words "Heavy duty" any difference worth noting? http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... prod/72445 http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... prod/54468 Also as for tools i am aware i will likely need a chain breaker, will this be used to attach the new chain as well as break the old one?
  18. It already has We're all a bunch of perverts! haha
  19. What about your bike?
  20. Sooooo how rich are you
  21. Deal! Better insure it then...
  22. I got a whole new set of plugs from banditmania on order because it's still firing weird around 5-6k revs when moving.
  23. Go for a long ride, then go home, quickly rip the tank off and locate ze problem! Tanks not to hard just make sure you remember what hose goes where.. Also less fuel = easier, just took mine off with a full tank and it weighs fookin loads!
  24. Glad it's a bit more costly.. Makes people do proper training and learn the skills needed to control these bikes. Last thing i'd want is to see a 17 year old get himself an R1 and 5 minutes later crash it.. that's a nice bike what a waste.
